Time for my annual blog post!

The garden’s wet, cold, and filled with detritus, and I’m antsy. So, time to write!

This past year has been a bit of a gong show- I had a baby, decided I was going to pursue horticultural therapy so, joined a bunch of garden clubs, got a part time gig as a gardener, and also have purchased a dog.

The dog was a bad/brilliant idea.

I’ve spent the winter curled up with training manuals and animal behavioural studies. We’re registered for the MOST expensive classes I could find, obviously, that’s how broke people roll. And I’ve put seeds and dirt on the back burner.

Until, of course, now.

The weather’s slowly turning, my babies are either going into daycare (human baby), or able to chill out a bit more in her crate and be walked by strangers I hire for half hour sessions (canine baby). And so my mind jumps to- what next?!

Well, Mike just came back from his doctor with news of a fatty liver. So, some pretty serious dietary and lifestyle changes are next. But we I have been pushing myself towards a plant based diet anyways. And I’m recovering from a pretty serious, scary, and debilitating depressive episode, so an increase in outdoor activity and…I dunno…mindfulness? is also in the cards.

And this just in: we’re looking seriously into a larger property. One day this little city house with it’s sheltered yard and struggling gardens may give way to the homestead of my pinterest boards!

Cheers fam
